Women empowerment and Ganga river conservation campaign will play an important role: Akhil Kumar

Kanpur, 19 November (HS). Women empowerment and conservation of river Ganga campaign is not only a source of inspiration for women, but it will also play an important role in making the society aware about the cleanliness and safety of river Ganga. This was said by Kanpur Nagar Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar as the chief guest while inaugurating the 53-day program of Border Security Force and National Clean Ganga Mission at Boat Club or Atal Ghat on Tuesday.

He said that this campaign will run for 53 days from the banks of river Ganga to Gangasagar and during this period the aim of the campaign is to spread the message of women empowerment, river conservation, and clean Ganga to the people. An awareness campaign was organized on this occasion, in which school children and local citizens would be made aware about the cleanliness of the river and the importance of river Ganga. A part of the campaign will be rafting on the Ganga Ghats, where women will participate in the campaign. On this occasion, senior officers of Border Security Force, Chief Development Officer Kanpur, Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic and other officers were present.
