Women are the center point in government policies and schemes: Yogi

Gorakhpur, 08 March (HS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that women are the focal point in the policies and plans of the double engine government. Among all the public welfare schemes being run by the central and state governments, the largest number are those which had a direct impact on women. Women's safety, respect and self-reliance should be of paramount importance for the government and society. The government is working in this direction with full commitment. With this commitment, Maharana Pratap Education Council and Mahayogi Gorakhnath University are also making commendable contribution for the dignity and self-reliance of women.

Chief Minister Yogi was expressing his views after distributing free sewing machines to the trainee women to make them self-reliant in the seven-day free sewing-embroidery training camp organized by the Maharana Pratap Education Council at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University on Friday evening. The Chief Minister is also the Chancellor of this university. In this program organized to commemorate International Women's Day, free sewing machines were distributed to 221 women. CM Yogi himself provided sewing machines to nine trainees. Motivating the women trainees, the Chief Minister said that India cannot be made strong and capable without the empowerment of half the population. For this, the path to self-reliance of women will have to be paved by providing an environment of security.

The Chief Minister said that after becoming Prime Minister in 2014, Modi ji did not make individual, opinion, religion or region the basis of his schemes. Rather, the basis of the schemes was made on villages, poor, farmers and women.

He said that Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and Matru Vandan are directly related to the safety, respect and self-reliance of women, and women are also the center of schemes like toilets, Ujjwala, Saubhagya and free ration because if there is deprivation in the family, then women face the most problems. It just happens. PM Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana is for self-reliance of artisans as well as women. He said that like the Central Government, the State Government has launched schemes like Kanya Sumangala, mass marriage for the safety, respect and self-reliance of women. Along with boys, girls are being made technically competent by providing them smartphones.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University is also a center of creative activities

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised this program of organizing free sewing and embroidery training camps and distribution of free sewing machines to make women self-reliant. He said that Mahayogi Gorakhnath University has become the center of many social and creative activities along with conducting traditional courses. For the usefulness of any organization, it is necessary to remain relative to the society. This university is fully understanding and fulfilling this responsibility. Organization of health camps in villages by the students of the hospital, Ayurveda, Nursing, Paramedical and Pharmacy faculty affiliated to this university is also a part of this social role.

New Uttar Pradesh showing the path of self-reliance

The Chief Minister said that the new Uttar Pradesh of the new India is today showing the path of self-reliance to all the people including women. Here farmers are being given a new option to earn by selling stubble and cow dung and also government incentives for cow rearing. The government is giving fifteen hundred rupees per month per cow for rearing a cow. Rear a cow, drink its milk and also earn income by selling its dung.

Women should move towards readymade garments

The Chief Minister said that this program of Maharana Pratap Education Council and Mahayogi Gorakhnath University of providing sewing machines by providing training is important for women empowerment. This is an innovative effort related to women self-reliance. After training, these women can start working on sewing machines and move towards readymade garments. It will be beneficial to work by forming FPOs and self-help groups in this work. By linking their readymade garments to the market, women can earn eight to ten thousand rupees per month.
