A heart-wrenching case has come to light in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, where a woman’s dead body was recovered from the fridge after six months. Her married lover is said to be behind this incident, who has been arrested by the police. The incident has created a sensation in the area, especially because the family of another tenant was living next to the room where the body was kept, but no one was even aware of this horrific truth. The matter came to light when a foul smell started coming from the room when the fridge was switched off.
Identification of the deceased and arrest of the accused
According to the police, the name of the deceased was Pinky alias Pratibha Prajapati. Accused Sanjay Patidar has accepted his crime. According to the information, Sanjay and Pinky were in a live-in relationship for the last five years. The accused told that he was married and is the father of two children.
Sanjay revealed that Pinky was pressurizing him for marriage, due to which the dispute escalated and he strangulated her to death. After the murder, with the help of his partner Vinod Dave, he kept the body in the fridge and turned it on high mode so that the smell could not come out.
Incidents of finding dead body from fridge
There is a house of businessman Dhirendra Srivastava in Vrindavan Dham of Dewas. Dhirendra is currently in Dubai. Their ground floor was rented by a person named Balveer Rajput. Balveer had complained to the landlord that two rooms were locked and had been kept closed by the old tenant.
The landlord gave permission to break the locks, after which Balveer opened the locks of the rooms on Thursday. The fridge was in working order, which they switched off due to old negligence. The next day, i.e. Friday morning, a strong smell started coming from the room. Upon suspicion the police were called. When the police opened the fridge, they found Pinky’s decomposed body wrapped in a sheet.

Sanjay Patidar told during police interrogation that he was in a live-in relationship with Pinky for three years in Ujjain. When Pinky pressured him for marriage, he killed her in anger. The suggestion of hiding the body in the fridge after the murder was given by his associate Vinod Dave, who is currently lodged in a Rajasthan jail in another criminal case. Police is also preparing to interrogate Vinod.
