Araria 25 July (HS). The Simraha police and the prohibition department of the district conducted a joint raid and arrested a woman with hundreds of liters of country-made liquor from different places. The prohibition department, Simraha police along with the anti-liquor task force took this action on the information received on Thursday. The action taken regarding the recovery of liquor was done under the leadership of Simraha police station in-charge Ruby Kumari.
A team was formed with the day patrol police officer of Simraha police station and armed force and ALTF team, which was led by ALTF team in-charge Hira Lal Mandal. In the action, the police arrested 40-year-old Malti Devi, wife of late Rajendra Sardar, resident of Khawaspur ward number four.
Ten liters of raw liquor, a liquor making machine and a furnace were recovered from the woman's house along with country-made liquor kept in two plastic gallons. The raw liquor and the furnace machine were destroyed at the same spot. The arrested woman was sent to jail after taking action under the prohibition law.
