Fatehabad, August 20 (HS). The district police has succeeded in arresting a woman with ganja. The team of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau Fatehabad was on patrol on Tuesday under the leadership of ASI Mahesh Kumar to nab drug smugglers. When the team reached near Bhagat Singh Chowk on Firni in village Sardarwala, they received information that the woman Akko, resident of Hakamwala Road, Sardarwala, sells ganja and even today she is standing outside her house with ganja in an attempt to sell it.
On this information, the police team reached the spot and saw that a woman was standing outside a house with a bag in her hand. Seeing the police, she got scared and started going inside the house. On the basis of suspicion, the police personnel caught the woman and questioned her, she told her name as Akko wife of Balvindra Singh. When the police searched, 1 kg 116 grams of ganja was recovered from the bag held in the woman's hand. On this, the police arrested the woman and registered a case against her under the NDPS Act in Sadar Ratia police station. On being questioned by the police, the woman told that her husband Baljinder alias Sanjay had bought this ganja. On this, the police have also registered a case against Baljinder and started searching for him.
