Within just 24 hours, police arrested two accused in minor murder case

Katihar, 14 February (HS). Successfully uncovering the murder incident that took place under the Municipal Assistant Police Station area within just 24 hours, the police have arrested two criminals involved in the incident and sent them to judicial custody.

On Wednesday evening, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar said that on February 11, Munna Kumar alias Chamada (15 years) from Bhediya Rahika BMP-07 of Assistant Police Station area, who had gone out of his house for some work, did not return till late night. After which, on the basis of the written application of the said youth's mother applicant Panwa Devi, husband late Radhe Prasad Chauhan, resident of Bhediya Rahika BMP, case No. 85/24, section 363/365 of Indian Penal Code was registered in Nagar (Assistant) police station.

Jitendra Kumar said that due to the seriousness of the incident and the recovery of the child, Superintendent of Police Katihar formed a special team under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police-cum-Sub-Divisional Police Officer and directed for successful investigation of the incident and recovery of the child. . After the above instructions, the special team formed started conducting raids at various places for the recovery of the child and also contacted the intelligence agencies.

Inquiry was started, in which the Assistant Police Station Head received information that a child wolf was living in Rahika ward no. Under 02 assistant police station, a chahar is lying dead in a bush inside the wall. When the team formed there reached there to verify the information and take necessary action, it was seen that a child was lying dead in the bush. After which the said child was picked up by the team and brought to Sadar Hospital and the youth was identified. The deceased child was identified as Munna Kumar alias Chamada, after which the incident was investigated and the criminals involved in the case were identified.

Raids were started to arrest him.

The Superintendent of Police said that on Wednesday, February 14, the said team took into police custody two criminals involved in the incident, namely Karan Chauhan (22 years), father Prakash Chauhan, resident of Bhediya Rahika and an illegal child. SP said that when the criminals arrested by the team were interrogated in connection with the said incident, they accepted the fact of committing the incident and also told many other important things.
