Greater Noida, 26 September (HS). There were dreams of progress in the eyes, there was also the passion to take the enterprise to the heights, the entrepreneurs of UP also had the passion to work day and night to take their products to the doorstep of big cities. But before 2017, the passion, enthusiasm and hard work of the entrepreneurs were defeated by the government's indifference. As a result, the business was ruined, and the spirits were also broken. But it is said that God's house is late, but not blind. In 2017, the people of UP, who were fed up with the bad law and order situation, expressed their trust in the Yogi government. Yogi Adityanath did not let that trust break. The Chief Minister not only strengthened the law and order situation, but also took care of the entrepreneurs. The result of which was that the entrepreneurs who were once frustrated and disappointed are today writing a new story of business success. The UP International Trade Show organized in Greater Noida is telling the success stories of such ODOP entrepreneurs.
-Had to leave ancestral business and sell Bhelpuri in Mumbai
Sohit Kumar Prajapati, who is showing his skills at the ODOP pavilion of UP International Trade Show, says that making utensils (black pottery) from black soil is his ancestral work. But due to lack of government assistance, a situation came at a time when Sohit was forced to leave his ancestral work and go to Mumbai to sell Bhelpuri. Sohit, who returned to his ancestral home from Mumbai during the Corona period, was seeing darkness all around. According to Sohan, when the Yogi government included black pottery under One District One Product, the business regained its glory with government help. The UP government also sent Sohit to Switzerland. The trade show has given new heights to Sohit's business.
-Yogi government breathed life into a dying enterprise
Banda district of UP is known for jewellery made of shajar stones. Dwarika Prasad Sharma, who is associated with the business of shajar stones, says that at one time there were 80 factories in the whole of Banda. But the previous governments did not pay attention to this industry. There came a time when only 3 factories were left in Banda. In 2017, the Yogi government breathed life into this dying enterprise. It was selected in ODOP. The government gave loans as well as subsidies. Stalls were provided by the government in various exhibitions. Not only this, the products that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave as gifts to the G-7 guests also included shajar. As a result of the help received from the Yogi government, today this business has increased by 50 to 60 percent.
-UP government sent 20 disabled children to Singapore
Divyang Development Society is an organization for deaf and dumb children. Manpreet Kaur says that disabled children make candles and other products. For the first time these children are participating in a trade show, but the excellent products made by them are successful in attracting the audience. According to Manpreet, the Yogi government has given new wings to the courage of these children. They were honored with the Rani Lakshmibai Award in 2018. In 2018 itself, the UP government sent 20 disabled children of the organization to Singapore for training. An emotional Manpreet says that these children had never even traveled by train, but Yogi Adityanath made them travel by plane.
-The government held our hand in difficult times
The visitors are liking the stall of Gloss Handicraft in ODOP Pavilion. Stall operator Pratish Kumar says that he has been associated with this business since 1990. But unfortunately, earlier people did not even know about it. When the Yogi government promoted this enterprise under One District One Product, then curiosity increased among the people. People started using the products to decorate their homes. According to Pratish, he got a loan of Rs 5 lakh from the Yogi government. The loan helped him not only in buying the plant but also in expanding the business. The trade show organized by the UP government is helpful in many ways. Buyers have come from abroad, many have also shown interest in the product.
Kamal Ahuja of Banda district has something similar to say. Kamal, who has set up a stall of millet cookies in the ODOP pavilion, says that the Yogi government is constantly encouraging entrepreneurship. Last year, the Modi government at the center and the Yogi government in the state constantly encouraged coarse grains. Kamal buys jowar, bajra from local farmers and makes sugarless cookies. Kamal bought packaging machines with the loan received from the Yogi government. Today, the products made by him are also being sent to Dubai, Nepal, Bhutan. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also visited his stall on the first day.
