Mirzapur 12 September (HS). District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan inspected Vindhyadham on Thursday regarding the preparations for the Shardiya Navratri Mela starting from midnight of October 3. The District Magistrate instructed the station superintendent to clean the empty land in front of Vindhyachal Railway Station and install a temporary shed and mobile toilet.
He also asked to get the ground of Vindhya Vidyapeeth Inter College cleaned so that a temporary night shelter can be made for the devotees. He directed the Executive Officer of Nagar Palika that all shopkeepers must keep a dustbin in front of their shops, if not kept, they should be challaned as per the rules. Also, the plastic sheets of the shops were removed and the shopkeepers should get sheds installed. The District Magistrate directed to complete the railing being installed in Vindhyachal temple within a week and also directed to lay tiles in the Havan Kund room and make a tiled cupboard for lighting lamps. Apart from this, he inspected the necessary arrangements related to cleanliness, barricading, electricity and convenience of the devotees and gave directions to the concerned.
The District Magistrate inspected the proposed widening work from Station Road to Old VIP. He said that the necessary preparations for the Navratri fair should be completed before the fair so that the devotees coming to the fair do not face any kind of problem and they can go to their destination easily after having darshan of Maa.
During the inspection, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Shiv Pratap Shukla, City Magistrate Lal Bahadur Singh, Executive Officer Mirzapur Municipality Goa Lal, Deputy Collector Shakti Pratap Singh and other concerned officials were present.
