Winter session of MP Assembly will start from December 16, notification issued

Bhopal, 12 November (HS). The winter session of Madhya Pradesh Assembly will start from 16th December. This five-day session will continue till December 20. The notification to that effect approved by Governor Mangubhai Patel has been issued by the Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday. Three new MLAs will be sworn in during this session. Apart from Amarwada MLA Kamlesh Pratap Shah of Chhindwara district, MLAs who will be elected in the Budhni and Vijaypur assembly by-elections to be declared on November 23 will be included.

Principal Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly AP Singh said that in this five-day session there will be a total of five meetings of the House, in which important government work will be done. For this session, notices of private bills will be received in the Assembly Secretariat by 20th November and notices of private resolutions till 5th December, while notices under adjournment motion, calling attention, rule 267-A will be received in the Assembly office from 10th December, 2024 at 11 am: 00 PM to 4:00 PM.

It is noteworthy that this will be the fourth session of the sixteenth assembly of Madhya Pradesh. It is said that the supplementary budget of the state government will be approved during this session. For this, the government has sought proposals from all departments and the Finance Department is examining it. Apart from this, two to three bills can also be approved during this session.
