Win over Hyderabad will keep Chennaiyin FC's playoff hopes alive – News India Live

Chennai, March 9 (HS). Matchweek 19 of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 will begin with the match between Hyderabad FC and Chennaiyin FC to be played this evening at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.

Therefore, they are in the race to qualify for the playoffs.

As far as Hyderabad FC is concerned, there is an opportunity for their young brigade to show some strength in the remaining matches and the club can expect something in the next season. They came back from two goals down in the previous match to draw 2-2 with NorthEast United FC.

Chennaiyin FC's Scottish head coach Owen Coyle said in the pre-match press conference on Friday, “Our performances in the last four matches have been consistently good. We beat Kerala Blasters FC, could have beaten Mumbai, created a lot of chances against East Bengal FC. We are playing well and our performance against Odisha FC was fantastic.”

Hyderabad FC head coach Thangboi Singto said before the match, “The young players are working hard along with some of their seniors. All the hard work has paid off internally. There is no pressure on us, but yes, the result against NEUFC was a big encouragement for us.”
