Will leave politics if AAP gets 13 seats in Punjab: Raja Waring

Chandigarh: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, while commenting on the political scenario of Punjab ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, specifically addressed the claims made by the Aam Aadmi Party about their electoral prospects.

Warning AAP and Chief Minister Mann, Waring said, 'AAP's claims of winning 13 seats will be dashed, after which AAP leaders will not be able to face the public. During its two-year tenure, the AAP government has failed to fulfill the promises made to the people of Punjab.

The state Congress president said, “I am sure that Aam Aadmi Party's '13-0' rhetoric, like BJP's 'cross 400' predictions, has no possibility of being fulfilled. During the tenure of the AAP government in Punjab, there has been a lack of substantial progress, and this government has added difficulties to the challenges faced by the people of Punjab. The people of Punjab have recognized the call for change.

Highlighting the broken promises and shortcomings of the administration, Waring said, “The people of Punjab are being misled by false promises for the last two years. Punjab's farming community, the backbone of our society, faces an ineffective administration. Consequences of bad policies. Promises of ‘chicken and goat’ compensation, promises of minimum support price are all incomplete, promises to help flood affected farmers have not been fulfilled.”

Criticizing the AAP administration, Raja Waring said, “The AAP government failed to implement Delhi's education and health care model in Punjab, thereby destroying the established systems.” The establishment of 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' at the expense of civil hospital staff has weakened Punjab's healthcare infrastructure, especially in the Performance Grading Index Report 2021-22. Punjab's educational status after assuming power is unlike its pre- Is-current performance.”

Talking about people's intelligence and false propaganda, Waring said, “Your false propaganda efforts have eclipsed real progress at the grassroots level. The people of Punjab cannot be influenced by empty rhetoric and half-hearted efforts. The upcoming election decision will undoubtedly reflect the abundance of the people.”

Finally, the State Congress President confirmed the primacy of the Congress in the electoral arena and declared, “The Congress is poised to emerge as the most dominant political force in Punjab. Our tireless efforts in the last two years will bear fruit in electoral success. Be it any time, be it central level or state level, Punjab Congress is always standing to raise the voice of the people.
