The Indian cricket team will tour Sri Lanka this month. Team India will play a three-match T20 and an equal number of ODI series in Sri Lanka. According to reports, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will return for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can also be a part of the ODI series. The BCCI secretary has already made it clear that Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
These 15 players can get a chance
The 15-member team may have three openers in the form of captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal. KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Rinku Singh are expected to get a chance in the middle order. Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are likely to get a chance as wicketkeepers. Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja may be in the spin department. While Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh may be in the fast bowling department. However, it is also possible that Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah will be rested for the ODI series.
