Israel's war cabinet has met twice in 24 hours after Iran's attack. In this meeting, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army Harji Halevi has taken a tough decision to respond to the attack by Iran.

The job of the War Cabinet is to decide the war strategy. There are total five members. However, its meetings are also attended by cabinet ministers and army officers. There is currently no law in the Israeli Constitution that specifies the definition of cabinet officials. However, the War Cabinet decides when and where to attack. Even if a ceasefire has to be announced, the approval of the War Cabinet is necessary.
