After completing 14 years of political exile, Govinda has again entered politics. The last time he won the Lok Sabha elections was in 2004. Now Eknath Shinde from Maharashtra came to Shiv Sena and said that this is the 14th Lok Sabha. It is a wonderful coincidence that now after 14 years I am back in politics. Last year he had climbed the stairs of Parliament on Congress ticket. However, within 3-4 years he started becoming disillusioned with politics.

Left politics like Amitabh

Actor turned MP Govinda had then said that he wanted to leave politics like Amitabh Bachchan. This decision of Govinda winning from Mumbai North came as a shock to Congress. At that time Congress workers were saying that the decision to give ticket to Govinda was wrong. Before him, Amitabh Bachchan, who became MP from Allahabad, had also said goodbye to politics very soon.

Due to popularity, parties bring film actors into politics but actors pay more attention to their acting. It is a different matter if films are not available. Even in the last five years, many Bollywood celebrities have reached Parliament but their presence has been very less. Parties benefit from the fact that big leaders cannot compete with the popularity of film actors.

Then Govinda had won on Congress ticket.

Last time, Govinda had defeated veteran BJP leader and former Union Minister Ram Naik from Mumbai North. At that time this seat was considered the stronghold of BJP and Congress had no presence but Naik could not stand in front of Govinda's popularity. However, when Govinda left politics, some angry Congressmen also said that the actor's film career was on the verge of ending. Meanwhile, he came to try his luck in politics.

Then why did Govinda leave politics?

Meanwhile, the question is what was the real reason for leaving politics then and why now Govinda has come into politics again. 7 years ago, when Govinda was asked in an interview whether he would enter politics, he laughingly said, 'I salute you brother and I salute you very well.' This is because I have no knowledge of this subject. Because when you do not have knowledge of the subject then your attendance will not be good.

Now that Shinde has joined the Army, Govinda described the beautification, development and infrastructure works of the state government. He praised the last 10 years of PM Modi's tenure and praised the Shinde government of Maharashtra.
