Environment lover Ankit Das has taken a bold resolution to cover the distance of approximately 2000 km from Uttarakhand Dehradun to Bengal Chakulia on bicycle with the message of nature conservation. Facing all the problems during the long journey, Ankit Das reached Chaubepur Varanasi on Monday and was warmly welcomed by the villagers along with the workers of the social organization Asha Trust.
Reached Kashi by cycling continuously from Dehradun. Ankit Das told that being distressed by the impending crisis on nature and environment, he is doing this work with full enthusiasm with the aim of alerting the common people. Covering a distance of 50-60 kilometers every day, they stop near roadside villages at night.
34-year-old youth Ankit Das, resident of Dehradun, said that he will enter Bihar via Sarnath on Wednesday. Ankit does not have a smart phone or money with him, arrangements for stay, accommodation, food etc. are made only with public support. He told that in the journey of about 900 kilometers so far, he did not face any problem in stopping or eating at any place. Ankit has previously undertaken 07 such trips to different parts of the country. In which there have also been 3 walking tours. At Chaubepur Bhandha Kala, social worker Vallabhacharya Pandey congratulated Ankit Das by giving him a corset and a memento. On this occasion, Deen Dayal Singh, Pradeep Singh, Saroj Singh, Sunita, Moni, Sadhna Pandey, Anshika, Sarika, Neha Kumari, Muskaan etc. encouraged the cyclists.
