Varanasi, 07 July (HS). The wife of former councillor Dilip Yadav of Garhvasi Tola Mangalagauri area of Kotwali police station area committed suicide by hanging herself in her room on Sunday. On the information of the family, the regional police along with the officers also reached the spot. The former councillor's wife Sandhya Verma was a resident of Dudh Vinayak of Kotwali area.
On learning about the incident, his family reached his in-laws' house. ACP Kotwali Amit Srivastava questioned the former councillor and his family. After the interrogation, the police took the body into their custody.
