A major update has come to light in the suicide case of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. His wife and IAS officer Amanit P Kumar has lodged a police complaint. He has made serious allegations against Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijraniya. Amanit says that her husband died due to the torture of these officers.
In a letter written to the SHO of Sector 11 police station, Amani has demanded to register a case against the DGP and SP under Section 108 of BNS and SC/ST Act. She clarified that her husband was harassed on the basis of caste by higher officials. Amani told that her husband has mentioned this harassment in his suicide note. Y Puran Kumar had already told his wife that he was being implicated in a false case by GDP Shatrujit Kapoor. A case was registered under Section 308 at the Urban State police station in Rohtak.
Amanit told that her husband’s staff member Sunil has also been made a victim of this conspiracy. The evidence in this case has been tampered with and he has been implicated in false allegations. Demanding justice, Amanit has said that he has found another copy of the suicide note which he will share with the police. Amanit P Kumar has clearly said that he wants justice. He has complained several times about the harassment being meted out to him by the authorities, but no action has been taken. Now he has demanded the police to take this matter seriously and take appropriate action. This case is not just about the death of an officer, but also about the search for justice for a wife.
shocking revelation
A media report revealed that he had prepared a will on October 6, just a day before the incident. In which he left all his movable and immovable property in the name of his wife and senior IAS officer Amneet P Kumar. Along with this, he had written a suicide note of 9 pages which he also sent to his wife. His wife had gone to Japan on an official visit with then Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. When Puran Kumar sent him the will and suicide note, Amneet Kumar called him 15 times but he did not pick up the phone even once. Frightened, Amneet called his younger daughter Amulya and asked her to speak to her father immediately. After her mother’s call, Amulya reached home and found her father lying on the sofa in the basement, soaked in blood.
Accusations against many officers
According to media reports, after the death of Puran Kumar, his 9-page suicide note has created a stir among the police and administration. In the suicide note, he has made serious allegations against 15 senior and former IPS-IAS officers like caste discrimination, mental harassment and public humiliation. The media report includes the names of several senior IPS officers including current Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, DGP Shatrujit Kapoor, former Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad, former ACS (Home) Rajeev Arora, former DGP Manoj Yadav and PK Aggarwal.
The media report also said that DGP Shatrujit Kapoor was using SP Narendra Bijraniya as a ‘shield’ to fabricate a false case against him. The use of objectionable language by IPS Mata Ravi Kiran proved to be the last reason for him.
