The effect of which is visible from plains to Darjeeling since morning. Since morning, no vehicle is being allowed to climb the mountain via Siliguri. At the same time, no vehicle is coming to Siliguri from Darjeeling either. Only essential vehicles are being allowed to come and go.
It is noteworthy that a tripartite meeting was held in Siliguri on Sunday in demand of puja bonus of tea garden workers.
