The political turmoil over the issue of cash worth crores of rupees missing from the donation boxes of Ayodhya Ram temple has now reached its peak. After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Ayodhya on Friday and the strong statements given on the opposition there, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has opened the front.
Akhilesh Yadav has raised very serious and sharp questions on the intentions of the Chief Minister and the government without taking names on the social media platform X. He alleged that this sudden visit of the Chief Minister was only a desperate attempt to influence the investigation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and to save the BJP’s slipping political ground in Ayodhya.
‘Why was there less a statement and more a threat in today’s speech?’ – SP chief’s first attack
Akhilesh Yadav wrote on his X handle, attacking the government in a serial manner, “Why were there less statements and more threats in today’s speech? Was today’s program made suddenly or on the day the SIT was formed?”
Quoting internal sources, he further wrote, “Why are sources saying that this program was suddenly decided at the behest of local BJP MLAs and officials, so that BJP’s political ground can be saved, otherwise not only Ayodhya Mandal but BJP’s entire UP is certain to be wiped out.”
Questions raised on the image of SIT, said- ‘CM should not influence the investigation’
Raising direct questions on the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case, the SP chief wrote that the Chief Minister should not try to influence the work of the SIT by physically visiting Ayodhya. He alleged that this SIT is already under the scanner of the public and the opposition due to its controversial members and tarnished image.
Taking a dig at the body language of the Chief Minister, Akhilesh wrote, “Why was your face down there today? There was a conscious effort to raise your voice, but why was your confidence zero? Why didn’t you meet your special people this time?”
‘Don’t milk milk, convert gold into gold and silver into silver’
On the statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in which he had said that ‘in 15 days milk will turn into milk and water into water’, Akhilesh Yadav gave a new slogan while quoting the public. they wrote, “People are saying ‘milk of milk, water of water’ and not ‘gold of gold, silver of silver’. Apart from the money and priceless stones offered in the court of Lord Ramlala, precious metals and gold and silver jewelery will also have to be accounted for every penny.”
In another post, the SP President also took a dig at the Chief Minister’s frequent visits to Ayodhya. they wrote, “An SIT should also be formed to investigate someone’s record breaking visits to Ayodhya.” This all-round attack by Akhilesh Yadav has made it clear that this time the opposition is in a mood to completely corner the Ram Mandir Trust and the government on the issue of transparency and in the coming days this controversy will further heat up the politics of Uttar Pradesh.
