'Shami wanted to commit suicide by jumping from the 19th floor'
In a recent interview, Mohammed Shami's close friend SLA Umesh Kumar said that when Shami was accused of match fixing with Pakistan, he was very broken from inside. Shami stayed at my house during this difficult time. When these allegations were investigated, Shami said that night that he can bear everything but not the allegations of betrayal against his country. That night he wanted to commit suicide.
Umesh further said that when I woke up at night to drink water, I saw Shami standing on the balcony, he was on the 19th floor. I could understand what he was thinking, that night was the longest night of Shami's life. A few days later Shami got the news that he has been given a clean chit in the fixing case against Pakistan.
