Haridwar: Like every year, this time too the Ganga Canal has been closed at midnight on 12th October for cleaning the Ganga Canal. As soon as the water level in the Ganga canal decreased last night, paid laborers and laborers got into the flood. In the general flow they are looking for wealth and prosperity. If you give by luck, you become a millionaire, but Ganga always gives something to everyone.

Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department claims that this time due to Ganga closure, there will be no shortage of Ganga water for the devotees at Harki Paidi. But as soon as the river Ganga stopped, there was not enough water left in Harki Paidi, let alone bathing in the Ganga in the morning.

In fact, every year during the festival of Dussehra, the northern part of the Ganga Canal is closed for repairs, which remains closed for about 20 days. Due to which, during the closure of Ganga canal, the water level in Ganga at Harki Paidi is very less.

Devotees are not even allowed to bathe in the Ganga. The devotees coming to Harki Paidi have to return empty handed and disappointed. However, the Irrigation Department says that water will come to Harki Paidi from tomorrow.

Barrage will be built at Aviral Ganga Bhagir Point and Kangra Bridge coming from Sarvanand Ghat. By building a dam, all the water coming from the continuous stream of Ganga will be diverted towards Harki Pedi and the water of Ganga will be brought to Harki Pedi. Due to which devotees will continue to get Ganga water for bathing in Ganga. If this happens, then for the first time the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department will be able to make the devotees take bath in the Ganga on the closure of the Ganga Canal.
