Why did Congress appeal to vote for NOTA on this seat of Madhya Pradesh? Said- teach BJP a lesson

In Madhya Pradesh, the Congress Party (MP Congress) is appealing to the citizens to press the NOTA button. The party claims that this step has been taken to teach patience to BJP. The matter is related to the Congress candidate leaving the party. Congress candidate from Indore Lok Sabha seat, Akshay Kanti withdrew his nomination form on the last day. And joined BJP, due to which Congress was wiped out.

Party will not support any candidate: Jitu Patwari

In this context, Congress has decided to promote NOTA. MP Congress chief Jitu Patwari has said that the party will not support any candidate. He has requested people to record NOTA votes to teach BJP a lesson.

Senior Congress leader Sajjan Verma posted a video and said,

Some people have stolen our Congress candidate. They have deprived you of your right to vote. If you want to teach these thieves a lesson then press NOTA button and save democracy.

Senior Congress leader Shobha Ojha said,

Voters in Indore had given a massive victory to BJP in the last Municipal Corporation and Assembly elections. Yet BJP killed democracy by giving false allurement of Akshay Kanti bomb. Therefore, voters should give a befitting reply to BJP by choosing NOTA option.

Congress has not been able to win here even once in the last 35 years.

Congress has not been able to win the Indore Lok Sabha seat even once in the last 35 years and this is the first time that the party has not even fielded its own candidate. After Akshay left BJP, Congress had filed a petition in the High Court to field another candidate in his place, which was rejected by the court.

Responding to Congress's NOTA campaign, Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma said that inciting people to suppress NOTA is a crime in democracy. Voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections is to be held in Indore on May 13.
