Why are professional people not being appointed: High Court

Ranchi, July 8 (HS). A public interest litigation filed by Rajesh Kumar Singh in the Jharkhand High Court for appointment to higher posts in the Electricity Department under the Indian Electricity Act was heard on Monday. The court issued a notice to the Electricity Board and the State Government and verbally asked why skilled people are not being appointed by issuing advertisements? Why is the work being managed by giving charge to IAS officers and other officials?

The court will now hear this case on July 24. Rajesh Kumar has demanded in his PIL that professional people should be appointed to higher posts in the electricity board under the Indian Electricity Act. The case was heard in the bench of the Chief Justice of the High Court.
