Onion prices are continuously increasing in the markets. According to reports, the price in Nashik Mandi has increased from Rs 17 per kg on May 25 to Rs 25 per kg. Good quality onions are being sold above Rs 30 per kg. On reaching Delhi, the price of onion will increase by Rs 5-7 per kg.
According to reports, due to low production of onion in the last rubber crop, there was a gap between demand and supply, which led to a rise in prices. The onion that comes to the market in June comes from the shops of farmers and traders. Currently, farmers are selling their stock less as they expect prices to rise further.
