Jaipur, 20 September (HS). Rajasthan High Court has taken seriously the issue of not issuing appointment letters to guest faculty teachers even after their appointment in Vidya Sambal Yojana. The court said that many such cases are coming in which appointment letters have not been issued to guest faculty teachers after their appointment. At the same time, the government lawyer in the case is also not able to give clear information to the court in this regard. In such a situation, the College Education Commissioner should file an affidavit by September 27 and present his clarification in this regard. Justice Mahendra Goyal gave this order on the petition of Namita Goyal.

In the petition, advocate Vijay Pathak said that the petitioner has been working as a guest faculty teacher in Bayana College for many years. After this, when she was not appointed in the academic session 2022-23, the matter came to the High Court. In August 2023, the court directed the department to give preference to the petitioners in appointment. The petition said that recruitment was not done in the session 2023-24. At the same time, when the petitioner applied for appointment under Guest Faculty in Bayana College in the session 2024-25, he was not given preference in appointment. In his place, a new candidate was appointed to the post of Guest Faculty. Information in this regard was sought by filing an RTI in the concerned college on behalf of the petitioner, but it was also not answered. Whereas as per the rules, the petitioner should have been given appointment under the Vidya Sambal Yojana. Therefore, he should be given appointment under the scheme and instructions should be given to issue an appointment letter.
