Wholesale inflation increased in September due to rising food prices, vegetable prices skyrocketed

Wholesale inflation in September: Wholesale inflation has increased to 1.84 percent in September due to increase in prices of vegetables and food items in the country. Which was 1.31 percent in August. The government released wholesale inflation figures on Monday. According to which, the wholesale inflation rate has increased due to the huge increase in the prices of vegetables including onion, potato, tomato. The prices of vegetables have increased by 40 to 60 percent.

Vegetable prices increased

Wholesale inflation of manufactured products declined to 1 percent in September. Which was 1.22 percent in August. Wholesale inflation rate of primary commodities increased to 6.59 percent. Which was 2.42 percent in August. The wholesale inflation rate of food items has been 11.53 percent. Which was 3.11 percent in August. Wholesale prices of vegetables increased by 48.73 percent, which were 10.11 percent less in August. Wholesale prices of fuel and electricity declined by 4.05 percent. Which decreased by 0.67 percent last month.
