News India Live, Digital Desk: The situation has gone out of control after a sensational murder in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The brutal murder of a sadhu, popularly known as ‘Farsa Wale Baba’, has created huge outrage among the local people and his followers. As soon as the news of the murder spread, hundreds of villagers and supporters took to the streets, following which there was a traffic jam on the Delhi-Agra National Highway for hours. Senior police and administration officials are deployed at the spot and heavy police force (PAC) has been deployed in the area.

The saint, who lived in an ashram near Kosikalan area of Mathura, was fondly called ‘Farsa wale Baba’ by the people with love and reverence.
Identification: He always carried a ‘Farsa’ (traditional axe) with him, which became a part of his identity.
Popularity: Baba was known in the area for his simple nature and spiritual solutions to people’s problems. There was deep faith in him in the surrounding villages, which is why his murder took the form of a huge public outcry.
Beginning of massacre and riot
According to the information, Baba’s body was found in a bloody condition near his ashram. He was murdered very brutally. As soon as this news reached the villagers, people came out on the streets carrying sticks.
Highway Jam: The angry mob blocked the Delhi-Agra highway, causing a mile-long traffic jam and causing immense inconvenience to commuters.
Arson and stone pelting: There were heated clashes between the protesters and the police at some places. The angry mob attempted arson and also pelted stones at the police, following which the police had to resort to lathicharge to control the situation.
