Rishabh Pant on Rahul Dravid and Gautam Gambhir: Rishabh Pant, who is preparing to return to the Indian Test cricket team, has recently given a statement about the coaching of Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid. After the end of the T20 World Cup 2024, Rahul Dravid's tenure as the coach of the Indian team came to an end. Gautam Gambhir was then given the responsibility of the head coach of the Indian team. Under the leadership of team coach Gambhir, India won the first series against Sri Lanka. However, India lost 0-2 in the ODIs. Talking about the difference in coaching between Dravid and Gambhir, Pant said that Dravid is balanced while Gambhir is an aggressive coach.
Currently, Rishabh Pant is playing for India-B team in Duleep Trophy. He got out cheaply in the first innings of the match against India-A. Pant will be eyeing to perform better in the next innings to secure his place in the Test series against Bangladesh.
Pant said in an interview, 'I think Rahul is very balanced as a person and as a coach, we have good and bad moments as a cricket team, it depends on the individual what he likes or negative.'
He further said, 'Gauti bhai is more aggressive, he always puts more emphasis on winning, but you need to find the right balance, this is the best part of international cricket that you keep correcting your mistakes and maintain balance.'
