Annu Mishra is a resident of Sitapur –
'Gulak' has had four seasons so far. In these four seasons, Mishra ji's elder son Annu Mishra became a force to reckon with and Vaibhav Raj Gupta played the role of Annu. He hails from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh and grew up there. Born in 1991, Vaibhav is 33 years old.

He completed his schooling from RPF Degree College, Sitapur and then graduated in Mass Communication from School of Broadcast Communication, Mumbai.
Mr. Sitapur was selected –
Vaibhav told in an interview that in the year 2007 he was selected as Mr. Sitapur in Sitapur Mahotsav. After this, modelling offers started coming but there was not much scope for work.
Faced rejection-
His father used to tell him stories of Mumbai, so he moved to Mumbai for further studies. After coming to Mumbai, he joined a call center for some time. At that time he was happy thinking that he would speak English, get a good salary and enjoy the air of AC. But whenever he was asked for an interview, he was not selected.
Worked at the railway station
He used to travel in Mumbai's local trains. Then Vaibhav saw some boys at the station distributing pamphlets of an NGO called Greenpeace. He took information about this company from those boys and gave an interview. The next day the work started at the railway station.
8000-
Vaibhav told that his most difficult task was to stop people and tell them about this company. Vaibhav worked in it for about 6 months for which he was paid Rs 8000 per month.
