Then such a person cannot apply for ration card. If someone has a four wheeler including car and tractor. He cannot make a ration card. People who have a refrigerator installed in their house or have AC installed in their house. Even if they have it, they cannot apply for ration card.

Also, if someone in the family is doing a government job, he cannot get a ration card. To get a ration card, the annual income of a village family should be less than Rs 2 lakh. Also, in cities, it should not be more than Rs 3 lakh. If this happens, those people will become ineligible. People who pay income tax do not get a ration card. Apart from this, if someone has a licensed gun, then he is also ineligible for a ration card.

The Government of India is now identifying such people. Those who got ration cards made due to discrepancies in the documents. But they are ineligible to get ration cards. If you have any such ration card, then it is better to surrender it. For this, you will have to go to your food department office and give a written consent letter there. After this, you will be saved from any kind of government action. Otherwise, action can be taken if found ineligible.
