Maharashtra Elections: The results of Maharashtra Assembly elections have been declared yesterday. If we look at the exit poll projections, everyone is confused that even if both the alliances get a difference of 19-20 seats, there may be obstacles in forming the government. Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi are trying hard to retain all the MLAs of their supporting parties. The fear of starting ‘Operation Lotus’ by the pro-BJP alliance is being seen in the opposition.
MLAs will be kept away from BJP
Sanjay Raut, Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat and NCP-SP’s Jayant Patil held a meeting yesterday to discuss the issue. They fear that if both the alliances get seats by a small margin then BJP and Eknath Shinde may try to buy leaders of other parties. Therefore, he has decided to send most of the MLAs and leaders to Congress ruled states of Telangana and Karnataka. As soon as the election results are declared, these MLAs will be sent out of the state on Saturday evening.
Smaller and independent leaders have also been contacted
MLAs will be recalled from outside only when one of the alliance stakes claim to form the government. Apart from this, independent and small party leaders can also be contacted. Therefore, the top parties of the alliance have already started trying to win the MLAs in their favor. A senior Congress leader said, “We are confident that our government will be formed and the exit polls will once again be proved wrong. If the results are disappointing then the MLAs will be sent out of the state.
Wait and wait policy till results come out
It is not yet clear where these MLAs will be sent. But they can be sent to Congress ruled states Telangana and Karnataka. So that police assistance and hotel arrangements can be made there. However, at present all the parties are adopting the policy of wait and see till the results come. It is noteworthy that BJP will benefit from Ladli Behan Yojana. Besides, higher voting also indicates benefit to BJP and Mahayuti. Devendra Fadnavis said, “High voting has always been beneficial for us.
