The country is going to get its first Vande Metro train on September 16, a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. This train will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The Railway Ministry has announced its timetable and fare. Vande Metro trains will be fully air-conditioned. This train is inspired by Vande Bharat Express and has many modern facilities. This metro train is quite different from the Delhi Metro train in fare, distance and speed.
Vande Metro train will run 6 days a week
The Vande Metro train starting from Bhuj to Ahmedabad will run 6 days a week. This train service will not be available from Bhuj on Sunday and from Ahmedabad on Saturday. It will stop at a total of 9 stations between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. The Vande Metro train starting from Bhuj will reach Ahmedabad via Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, Samdhiali, Halvad, Dhrangadhra, Viramgam, Chandlodia and Sabarmati. On the return journey, this train will start from Ahmedabad and reach Bhuj via Sabarmati, Chandlodia, Viramgam, Dhrangadhra, Halvad, Samdhiali, Bhachau, Gandhidham and Anjar.
The distance of 358 km will be covered in 5 hours 45 minutes
Vande Bharat train will depart from Bhuj railway station at 5.05 am every day except Sunday. Its arrival time in Ahmedabad will be 10.50 am. While returning from Ahmedabad, this train will depart at 5.30 pm and reach Bhuj railway station at 11.10 am. The train will stop for about 2 minutes at every station. This train will cover a distance of about 358 km from Bhuj to Ahmedabad in 5 hours 45 minutes.

The Railway Ministry has also given information about the fare of Vande Metro train. According to the Railway Ministry, the passenger traveling in this train will have to spend Rs 1.20 for every kilometer. Suppose you travel 100 km, then the ticket price will be Rs 120. Similarly, a journey of 200 km will cost Rs 240. The lowest ticket in the train will be Rs 30, on which GST will have to be paid.
Difference between Delhi Metro and Vande Metro
Vande Metro train is ahead of Delhi Metro train in many aspects. Talking about speed, the speed of Vande Metro train has been kept at 130 km per hour, while if we talk about the speed of Delhi Metro, its maximum speed is 80 km. The speed of the metro running on the airport line is up to 120 km per hour. The minimum one-way fare of Delhi Metro is Rs 10 and the maximum fare is Rs 60. Also, the 59 km long Pink Line is the longest line of Delhi Metro.
