Independence Day Awards: The names for bravery awards have been announced on Independence Day. This includes the names of IPS to DSP from many states. These include the names of two DSPs from UP, IPS officer from Bihar and Sanjay Singh, currently working as ADG Law and Order, and DSP Rajesh Kumar. Apart from this, five other policemen have also been nominated for the award. At the same time, awards have also been announced for two DSPs of UP, Vimal Kumar Singh and Navendra Kumar. Both these names came into the limelight when Atiq Ahmed's son Asad was killed in an encounter.

Who will get which award?

On the occasion of Independence Day, it has been announced to give gallantry award to 5 policemen of Bihar Police. In such a situation, it has been announced that two police officers of Bihar Police will be awarded the President's Medal (PSM) for their distinguished service. Apart from this, 16 policemen will be awarded the Medal for Meritorious Services (MSM).

The recipients of the Glentree Award include a sub-inspector and four constables. Ashish Kumar Singh has been announced to be awarded the Glentree Award posthumously. Durgesh Kumar Yadav, Rohit Kumar Ranjan, Akshay Kumar, Vijendra Kumar have also been announced for the Glentree Awards. Apart from this, ADG Law and Order Sanjay Singh and DSP Rajesh Kumar Sharma will receive the PSM Award. The PSM Award is the President's Medal for Distinguished Service.
