Haridwar, September 26 (HS). A five-day camp concluded on Thursday under the aegis of Patanjali Mahila Yoga Samiti in the series of main yoga teacher camps being organised in Samriddh Gram Padartha to spread awareness about yoga across the world.
In the camp, Swami Ramdev said that where women are worshipped, God resides there. He said that Patanjali has given respect to women by eliminating gender discrimination in the society. He said that women empowerment is important in the role of nation building.
Acharya Balkrishna, while giving information to the female campers about home remedies and medicines to prevent various diseases in the question-answer program in the camp, said that yoga is a process of keeping life present, hence we should not turn away from yoga.
The women's camp was conducted by Sadhvi Acharya Devpriya, the main central in-charge of the Women's Patanjali Yoga Committee. Around 500 women trainees from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Goa participated in the camp after receiving 100-100 hours of co-yoga teacher training at the district and state levels.
On this occasion, Sadhvi Acharya Devpriya said that women have an important role in nation building. To make the nation advanced, participation of women in important areas has to be ensured. She said that in Samriddh Gram, campers will be taught yoga as well as various subjects.
Scholars have also trained them in Evidence Based Ayurveda, Panchkarma, Shatkarma, Naturopathy, Home Remedies, Yagya Chikitsa, Diet Therapy. After getting training from here, yoga teachers will go to their respective districts and states and provide free yoga training. This will spread Swadeshi, Ayurveda and Yoga in the entire nation. He said that women also have a special contribution in establishing a prosperous society. Be it a country or a family.
At the closing ceremony of the camp, Yogarishi Swami Ramdev Maharaj and Acharya Balkrishna gave their blessings to all the women yoga teachers.
