Haryana Assembly Elections 2024: Talking about Haryana Assembly Elections 2024, there is a lot of tussle going on between BJP and Congress regarding the selection of candidates. BJP announced a jumbo list of 67 candidates on Wednesday, September 4. As soon as BJP released the first list, so far 250 officials including 34 big leaders have resigned from the party. Some former MLAs and ministers have announced to contest as independent candidates. Congress has also finalized candidates on 55-60 seats. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has surprised everyone by asking the local leaders of Haryana to form an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party.
Congress has decided its candidates for 55 seats. Before that, Rahul Gandhi started talks for alliance with AAP, due to which the first list of Congress which was to be released has been put on hold for the time being. According to sources, Congress is ready to give 4-5 seats to Aam Aadmi Party, while AAP has demanded 10 seats for alliance.
Patch stuck due to these reasons
According to sources, AAP is claiming some seats on which former CM Bhupendra Hooda is preparing to field his loyal leaders. In such a situation, this is a big problem for the Congress-AAP alliance. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi is insisting on an alliance to prevent the opposition votes from getting scattered. Rahul Gandhi has often said that the opposition will have to unite to defeat PM Modi's BJP. After that, whether it is a central election or a state election. And in such a situation, Congress will not form an alliance by angering Bhupendra Singh Hooda's supporters.
Voting in Haryana on October 5
Congress and AAP contested the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana as an alliance. BJP won 5 out of 10 seats in the state, while 5 seats went to the Congress. Voting for the 90 seats of the state is to be held in a single phase on October 5, while the results will be declared on October 8.
