Senior BJP leader Prahlad Joshi announced the date of Narendra Modi's swearing-in as Prime Minister. He said that the ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 6 pm.
Invitations to foreign leaders
It is worth noting that on June 9, when Narendra Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister for the third time, preparations have been started to make this swearing-in ceremony grand. Foreign guests have been invited for this. Top leaders of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Mauritius are likely to attend it. The media department of Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that 'Prime Minister Modi has invited the President for the swearing-in ceremony and Wickremesinghe has accepted the invitation.' Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi spoke to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over the phone. Diplomatic sources said that 'during this conversation, Modi also invited Sheikh Hasina for the swearing-in ceremony.'
Leaders supported in parliamentary party meeting
As BJP did not get majority, Modi is once again preparing to be crowned as the Prime Minister under the NDA alliance. In this connection, a meeting of NDA allies was held in the Central Hall of Parliament today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also arrived to participate in this meeting. After today's meeting, he can claim to form the government. He was also elected the leader of the NDA party. Rajnath Singh proposed his name and all the leaders approved it.
Nitish Kumar as JDU leader from Bihar and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu from Andhra Pradesh were also present in the NDA meeting. Currently, both of them are in the role of kingmakers. Other NDA allies like Eknath Shinde, Chirag Paswan, Jitanram Manjhi also attended this meeting.
