News India Live, Digital Desk: Bollywood’s ‘Badshah’ Shahrukh Khan is not only a hero on screen, but he is no less than a hero in real life. Whenever there is a disaster on the country, they are always ahead for help, but the style of helping them is the most different – with silence, without any publicity. This time too, when Punjab was facing devastating floods, Shah Rukh Khan and his organization ‘Mir Foundation’ quietly reached the wounds of the victims.
This is the time when many districts of Punjab were immersed in flood waters. Thousands of people had become homeless, their crops were destroyed and even eating and drinking. In this difficult time, Shah Rukh Khan’s Mir Foundation, along with the ground -level organization ‘Khalsa Ed’, pioneered help.
How to help flood victims?
Instead of showing or photographing the Mir Foundation, the Mir Foundation directly paid attention to the things that people needed the most.
- Ration Kit: The team went to the flood affected villages of Punjab and sent ration kits to thousands of needy families. This kit included everyday things like flour, rice, pulses, oil and spices, so that no family slept hungry.
- Home essential things: Everything of people was swept away in the flood. In such a situation, the Foundation also provided people about tarpaulin, ropes and essential items of kitchen, so that they can make a temporary roof on their heads and cook food.
‘Khalsa Ed’ confirmed
Amarpreet Singh, director of ‘Khalsa Ed India’, has himself confirmed that Mir Foundation is helping him in this noble cause. He thanked Shah Rukh Khan and his entire team, who understood the pain of the people of Punjab without any noise and came forward to help them.
This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan has shown such generosity. From the Korona period to the disasters in other states, his Mir Foundation has always served the needy quietly. His step shows that the real hero is the one who stands with the people in difficult times, whether the camera is eye or not.
