Jasprit Bumrah: Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is currently on Australia tour. He bowled brilliantly in two test matches of Border Gavaskar Trophy. He took about 12 wickets. In which his average was 9. Meanwhile, Bumrah said, there was a time when people told me that my career would be over in six-seven months. He said, apart from this I did not take any formal coaching. It was only by watching cricket on television that I progressed. Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in the world at present. He is currently on top in the test rankings.

I never took any coaching

While giving an interview, Bumrah said, ‘I learned everything by watching TV. I started playing cricket late. At the age of six or seven I was not a very fast bowler. I didn’t play much cricket at that time. I started playing preseason ball when I was 16 to 17 years old. I never took any coaching. I followed some suggestions after watching on TV and solved all the problems myself. I am confident in my way of playing.

He believed that I would play only for six-seven months

Regarding his bowling action, Bumrah said that no coach in India ever tried to change his bowling action. I don’t think many people believed in me because they thought my bowling action would not last long. He believed that I would be able to play only for six-seven months. Not many people actually worked with me. I think all these things helped me because I was self-reliant at that time and I had to be very confident. And I had to find the solution myself.
