This story is not the story of a film, but a reality. Mithun Chakraborty’s son Namashi revealed in an interview that there was a time when his father was shooting 41 films together. It was a work that he used to run on different sets day and night. In the 90s, the situation became such that the Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA), the largest organization in the film industry, had to be issued a notice. In this notice, stars like Mithun Chakraborty as well as Govinda and Rahul Roy were also warned not to sign so many films together.

Name is recorded in Guinness World Record

You can guess the pace of working of Mithun Chakraborty from the fact that 19 of his films were released in the year 1989. In a year, giving so many films as a lead hero is a record that no one has broken till date. For this reason, his name is recorded in ‘Guinness World Record’ and ‘Limca Book of Records’. In his career, Mithun Da has worked in more than 350 films.

Namashi says that her father was so immersed in work that in childhood she did not get a chance to spend time with her father. He says, “Papa used to go on shooting in the morning and by when I returned at night, I used to sleep. I actually started to know my father properly at the age of 10.”
