Jaipur, May 28 (HS). A political controversy has started over the statement of Water Supply Minister Kanhaiyalal Choudhary. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot targeted the statement of the Water Supply Minister by tweeting on Tuesday. He said that if the drinking water minister does not have the ability to provide relief to the public in this situation, then he should request the Chief Minister to make changes in his department and let some responsible person work. After this, Kanhaiyalal Choudhary hit back at Gehlot. He said that the Gehlot government has completely destroyed the water department.
Chaudhary had said on Monday that it is not possible for me to bring water by blowing and becoming Balaji. Whatever water we have, only that will be distributed. On Chaudhary's statement, former CM Ashok Gehlot had said that the statement of the drinking water minister of Rajasthan government is very unfortunate and is playing with the sentiments of the people troubled by water shortage. It is not appropriate for a minister to use such language. Gehlot wrote on the social media platform X that water crisis comes in Rajasthan every summer, but it can be easily solved by planning in advance. Despite being in the government for six months, no plan was made, so such a situation arose and now the drinking water minister is making irresponsible statements.
Gehlot wrote that in the drinking water and electricity crisis, it was the responsibility of the state government, PHED, electricity department, district administration, urban and panchayati raj bodies to make plans in advance. Preparations should also be made to deal with contingencies. This was not done on time, so the public is crying for help, but the government is not taking it seriously. The Chief Minister should call an all-party meeting to discuss the drinking water and electricity crisis and find a solution.
Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary, while replying to Gehlot, wrote that I will soon get the Sundarkand Paath of Balaji Maharaj done, so that Balaji Maharaj is pleased and there is heavy rain in Rajasthan. Chaudhary further wrote that our government is very serious about water management. We are working tirelessly to improve the water department which was completely ruined by you, and at the same time we are working hard to arrange drinking water for the families of the state.
