What would a person who has no understanding of worldly matters think when he sees his parents fighting?

It is not a new thing for a husband and wife to separate by mutual consent, but who thinks about the effect it will have on the children? What will a person who has no understanding of worldly matters think when he sees his parents fighting?

While scrolling through X (formerly Twitter) early in the morning, I came across a video. The video was shared by an account that advocates men's rights. I played the video without reading the caption. A man is seen walking towards a high-rise society. A girl is sleeping on his shoulder. By the time the man reaches the gate, a woman comes from inside. She hugs the girl and starts walking back. The man stands there and says something, the woman turns and walks back quickly. She immediately puts the girl down and confronts the man. A scuffle begins.

The focus of the video is on the fighting couple but my eyes are on the girl. She seemed to be fast asleep, she is startled by being suddenly woken up. The man and woman fighting in front of her are probably her parents. The girl closes her eyes once and straightens her hair. The fight gets worse and some people gather. Meanwhile, a nice lady takes the girl inside.

Here the security personnel surround the man. The next few seconds are spent in questioning and arguing and then the video ends. Now my eyes fall on the caption of the video. As soon as I read the first line, a shiver runs through my body. I feel sorry for that girl. I feel like confronting that man and woman. Suddenly I start feeling very helpless.

The girl is suffering from autism disorder ,

According to the caption, this man is an NRI and the girl is his daughter. The daughter is autistic. People suffering from autism are unable to mingle with others… are unable to tell them what is going on in their minds… are unable to understand what is going on in the minds of others… are afraid of bright light or sound… get restless if something happens suddenly… it takes time to understand them… many times they do or say the same thing repeatedly.

I did not dare to replay the video. I will not go into the fight that happened between the parents of this girl. Whatever the reason, whatever the circumstances, who does this to their daughter? That too in front of a girl who has trouble understanding why the people who gave birth to her are suddenly fighting, forgetting worldly matters.

What those kids must be going through…

That girl was seen in that video for only a few seconds, but it left a deep impact on my heart. I started thinking what those children must be going through when their parents fight like this in front of them. What those children must be thinking when they see their parents fighting after separating by mutual consent. What those children must be thinking when their parents are fighting for divorce in the court. Or what must be going on in the minds of those children whose custody is at stake between their parents? What about those children who suffer from diseases like autism and face difficulty in understanding things?

I can't imagine all this. I don't have the strength to bear so much pain. But someone has to think. Someone has to feel. They have to think about these children who are being crushed by their parents. They have to make arrangements to keep them away from such an environment. Otherwise, these children may never be able to feel 'normal' again!
