More than a week has passed since the results of Maharashtra Assembly elections were declared, but no official statement has come out yet regarding the formation of the government or the face of the Chief Minister. Although it is almost certain that the Chief Minister will be from BJP, there is tension between the two major parties within the Grand Alliance. Some leaders of Eknath Shindewali Shiv Sena are expressing their views on Ajit Pawar’s party NCP, while on the other hand, NCP leaders are expressing their views about Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena MLA Gulabrao Patil said that if Ajit Pawar’s NCP had not been a part of the grand alliance, the Eknath Shinde-led party would have won 90-100 seats in the elections.
Shinde vs Ajit Pawar in Maharashtra
Ajit Pawar joined the Shinde government in July last year and was made the Deputy CM. Patil, a minister in the present government, said that we had contested elections only on 85 seats. Without Ajit Dada we could have contested elections on 90-100 seats. Shinde never asked why Ajit Pawarwali included NCP in his government. Praising Shinde, he said that Shinde is a person with a big heart. Who believes in confrontation instead of anger.
Ajit Pawarwali’s
NCP leaders remained far behind. Reacting, NCP spokesperson Amol Mitkari said Patil’s ministerial post was in danger. He said about Patil that he should not talk about such small things. Mitkari said Patil should first consider joining the cabinet. This time his chances of becoming a minister are very less.
Shiv Sena leader lashed out at the central leader
Shiv Sena’s talk did not end here and amidst another battle of testimony, Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad targeted Union Minister Pratavarao Jadhav and BJP leader Sanjay Kute. Gaikwad won the November 20 election in Buldhana by a narrow margin of just 841 votes against Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Jayshree Shelak. Gaikwad claimed that Jadhav called a close aide of Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and asked him to field Jayshree Shelke against him.
He also made serious allegations against Sanjay Kute
And about Sanjay Kute, he said that he also called Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab and made this recommendation. Not a single district level leader of my party or alliance was with me. He questioned why Kute met Shelke at midnight? This is how coalition party leaders behave.
Who are Jadhav and Kute?
Prataprao Jadhav is an MP from Buldhana and is the Minister of AYUSH as well as Health and Family Welfare in the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. Apart from this, Kute won the election from Jalgaon (Jamod) assembly seat.
Let us tell you here that elections were held in Maharashtra on 20th November and then in the results that came on 23rd November, Mahayuti won the Maharashtra Assembly with an overwhelming majority. The alliance won 230 out of 288 assembly seats in the state. In which BJP got maximum 132 seats while Shiv Sena got 57 seats and NCP got 41 seats. The alliance includes BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
