Team India's star bowler Mohammad Siraj has been appointed DSP by the Tamil Nadu government. Along with this, Siraj has also been given a plot of 600 yards. Siraj reported to Dr. Jeetendra, Director General of Police, Telangana and assumed charge as Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Now Siraj will be able to represent the country in cricket along with police job. Former cricketer Joginder Sharma is also working on the post of DSP in Haryana Government. There will be three stars on the uniform
Siraj has been given Grade-1 job by Telangana government. This is the job of a Group-A officer in the state. He will be above the rank of Assistant Superintendent (DSP) and will report to the SP. There will be 3 stars on Siraj's uniform. They will play a major role in maintaining law and order in the state and solving complex crime cases. DSP is a gazetted officer. Later he can be promoted as IPS. To become an officer of this rank, any candidate has to pass the PCS i.e. State Administrative Service State Service Examination, but Siraj has been given this rank for his achievements.
What facilities does DSP get?
DSP gets government accommodation, duty vehicle, security guard, servant, cook, gardener, accommodation, travel and other allowances. The basic salary of DSP can be around Rs 74000. If other allowances are added it comes to Rs. Can go beyond Rs 1 lakh. However, these allowances may vary from state to state.
Officers up to ASP rank will salute
Officers from constable to SP rank will salute Mohammad Siraj. When Siraj meets his superiors he has to salute as a police officer. As a rule, when a subordinate meets his superior, he has to show respect by saluting him. Every police officer will have to follow this.
