IAS Deepak Rawat: IAS Deepak Rawat is currently the Divisional Commissioner in Kumaon. He passed the UPSC examination in the year 2007 and secured 12th rank. During the UPSC interview, Deepak Rawat was asked what we learn from zero. After hearing the answer to this question, the selection committee selected him in the civil service.
Zero teaches us to be neutral
In response to what we learn from Zero, Deepak Rawat said, Zero teaches us that we should remain neutral. He further said that if you add something to zero the number remains the same, if you subtract something from zero the number also remains the same. That is why zero teaches us to remain neutral.
Zero has no meaning, so…
Apart from this, Deepak Rawat said that zero also teaches us that zero has no meaning, hence we should take care in life that we never fall below it.
Deepak Rawat was born on 24 September 1977 in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. He did his schooling from St. George’s College, Mussoorie. After this he did BA in History from Hansraj College, Delhi and then MA in History and MPhil in Ancient History from JNU.
