Akshara Singh, one of the most popular and highest paid actresses of Bhojpuri cinema, has now added a huge and historic success to her name. Akshara, who made her mark across the country with Salman Khan’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, is now coming to create a stir on the big screen of Hindi cinema through Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s much-awake multi-starrer film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. The film is all set to release in theaters on Friday i.e. June 26, 2026. Just before the release of the film, Akshara Singh in one of her interviews told in a very frank and funny way how she finally got this explosive item song of such a big project of Bollywood.
When I got the offer to share the screen with Akshay Kumar, I was shocked.
Akshara Singh told that one day suddenly she got a call from the production house of the film’s director and famous choreographer Ahmed Khan. He received a direct offer from veteran choreographer Ganesh Acharya (Master Ji) to sing a special song for this film. Akshara said, “When he told me about the concept of the song and also opened up the suspense that in this song I have to share the screen with none other than Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar himself, I was completely shocked after hearing this.”
Unique story of nervousness – Akshara went to washroom 5 times after receiving the call
Recalling this life-changing moment, Akshara Singh laughingly shared her heartfelt feelings. She said, “As much as I was excited after hearing the offer, I was equally scared and nervous from within. The child inside me was trembling. The state of nervousness was such that after receiving that call, I went to the washroom at least 5 times out of fear and panic. I was not able to understand how to handle my happiness. Performing in front of such a big global superstar was the biggest thing of my career so far and I felt proud of my true feelings. Never tried to hide emotions.”
Gave a candid answer on the line ‘Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood’
This viral song ‘Ghis Ghis Ghis’ from ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has a very talked about line – ‘Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood’. When Akshara was asked for her opinion on this bold statement in the interview, she replied proudly. Akshara said, “When this line comes from the mouth of Jacqueline Fernandes ma’am in the song, it sounds very sweet and cute. But when I heard it for the first time, I was not surprised at all, because being a Bhojpuri artiste, I believe that it is 100% true. Our Bhojpuri industry is really the best and today it is getting respect in such a big Bollywood film, which is a matter of pride for us.”
Expected bumper collection of Rs 15 crore at the box office on the first day
If we talk about the film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, it is the third film of the ‘Welcome’ franchise and both its earlier parts proved to be blockbusters at the box office. In this third film, an army of more than 30 big stars like Sunil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Raveena Tandon are going to be seen along with Akshay Kumar.
The advance booking figures of this film, which is releasing on June 26, are excellent and giving positive signs. Trade analysts and box office experts estimate that ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ can make a bumper collection of at least Rs 15 crore in India on its opening day. More bumper jump in earnings can be seen on the weekend.
