Wedding celebration in Badaun turns into mourning: Groom bitten by snake on wedding night itself, family members wandered from hospital to Tantrik, death

A very painful and soul-shattering incident has come to light from Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, where the happiness of marriage turned into mourning and screaming on the very day of the wedding night. On Wednesday, the newly married youth bid farewell to the bride with great pomp in Rionai village of Ughaiti police station area. Bablu Maurya Died on the night of her wedding night due to a poisonous snake bite. In the house where Mangal Geet and rituals of welcoming the new daughter-in-law were being performed just a few hours ago, suddenly there was a scream and the crying new bride was forced to break the bangles of her hands. The accident happened while sleeping on the floor the very next day of marriage

The marriage procession of Bablu Maurya, resident of Rionai village, had gone to Lauharpura village of Gunnaur Kotwali area.

• Farewell and welcome: On Thursday afternoon, Bablu happily bid farewell to his new bride Rashmi and brought her home to Rionai. There was a gathering of relatives in the house throughout the day and the wedding traditions and rituals continued.

• Bed on the floor: Due to the traditional beliefs and location of the village, a bed was placed on the ground (floor) of the room for the newlyweds.

• Poisonous sting on neck: At night, when the newlywed couple was sleeping, a very poisonous snake bit the sleeping Bablu on his neck.

Doctors declared him dead in the hospital, yet the family members continued to perform exorcisms.

When Bablu’s condition deteriorated on Friday morning and he was found unconscious, there was a stir among the family members.

1. Answer of doctors in the hospital: The family members hurriedly took Bablu to a private hospital in Sahaswan and then from there to the Government Medical College. However, after examination, doctors found snake bite marks on his neck and declared him dead.

2. Superstition and hope: Even after being declared dead by the doctors, the family did not lose hope. He flatly refused to listen to the doctors and get the body post-mortem done.

3. Circulation of Tantrikas and snake charmers: In the hope of regaining breath, the family kept visiting Tantriks, exorcists and snake charmers with the dead body throughout the day and exorcism continued till late evening, but despite all efforts, Bablu could not be saved.

After this tragic accident, there is mourning in the entire village and area. Everyone is shocked to see the ruined world of the newly-wed bride Rashmi and the crying condition of her family members.
