It will be cloudy on September 17 and 18 and light to moderate rain is expected on September 18 and 19. After this, the weather will be clear on September 20 and 21, but there is a possibility of cloudy weather again on September 22.
On Sunday, Delhi's minimum temperature was recorded at 23.6 degrees Celsius, which was about 1.5 degrees below normal. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 am on Sunday was 100, which falls in the 'satisfactory' category.
Even in the early days of September, Delhi's total rainfall has crossed 1,000 mm, which is much more than normal. Usually Delhi receives about 650 mm of rain during the entire monsoon, but this time this figure has been crossed. Compared to 2023, the record of rain this year has been very good. So far this September, 125.8 mm of rain has been recorded, which is 55% more than normal.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh on 16 September. Along with this, a warning of lightning has also been issued in some districts. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Haryana and Punjab on 16 and 17 September, due to which flood-like conditions are likely to arise.
Due to rain in Himachal Pradesh, many roads have been blocked and power supply has been disrupted. The rain has created flood-like conditions in Kullu and Manali. It is raining intermittently in many parts of the state and the Meteorological Department has predicted that the rain will continue till September 21. Yellow alert has been declared in some parts of the state.
Monsoon has become active again in Uttarakhand from today. The rain in the last few days has caused massive destruction here. People have to face a lot of trouble due to landslides in hilly areas. Red alert has been declared for four districts of Uttarakhand. Many roads including Badrinath National Highway have been closed and landslides are occurring in hilly areas due to heavy rains.
