Punjab Weather Update: Monsoon has slowed down in Punjab and Chandigarh. However, some districts are receiving rain daily. Light to moderate rain is expected during the next four days. The adjoining districts of Himachal Pradesh will also receive rain. While five districts Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali and Fatehgarh Sahib are likely to receive rain today.
However, no alert of any kind has been issued. Along with this, the maximum temperature of the state has increased by 1.1 degrees. Now it has almost returned to normal. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Bathinda at 35.7 degrees.
Punjab and Chandigarh are now receiving light to moderate rainfall. Along with this, both places have recorded less than average rainfall in the month of September. Punjab has received 34.1 mm of rainfall between September 1 and 15. Which is 32 percent less than normal. 49.1 mm of rain has been received this season.
Similarly, 703.9 mm of rain has been recorded in Chandigarh since June 1. Which is -13.9 percent less than the normal rainfall. During the last 24 hours, 12.8 mm of rain has been recorded in Chandigarh city, 29.2 mm at Chandigarh airport, 1.2 mm in Patiala, 55.0 mm in Fatehgarh Sahib and 0.5 mm in Rupnagar.

Patiala- The maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 32.7 degrees. It will be cloudy today. The temperature will be recorded between 26 to 33 degrees.
Mohali- Yesterday the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.3 degrees. It will be cloudy. Today the temperature can remain between 29 to 34 degrees.
Ludhiana- The maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 33.0 degrees. It will be cloudy today. The temperature will be recorded between 27 to 35 degrees.
