Punjab weather update: The weather will be clear in Punjab and Chandigarh today (Sunday). There is no chance of rain. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain till October 4 and no alert has been issued. However, a drop in temperature has been recorded in all the districts. The maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 0.1 degrees, which is 2.2 degrees less than normal. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 34.8 degrees in Samrala (Ludhiana). Same is the condition of Chandigarh also.
Monsoon season will end tomorrow i.e. on 30th September. The beginning of this season is considered to be from 1st June to 30th September. 45 percent less rainfall has been recorded this month. However, this season there has been 75.7 mm rainfall, which this time is 41.9 mm. Whereas on Saturday, rain was recorded only in three districts. Of these, there was 9.0 mm rainfall in Pathankot, 0.5 mm in Firozpur and 0.5 mm in Hoshiarpur. Similarly, Chandigarh has received 776.2 mm rainfall so far. Which is 8.1 mm less than normal.
Temperature recorded in major cities of Punjab
Chandigarh- The maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 32.1 degrees. Today it will be partly cloudy. The temperature will be between 24.0 to 33.0 degrees.
Amritsar- The maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 29.9 degrees. Today it will be partly cloudy. The temperature will be between 25.0 to 32.0 degrees.
Jalandhar – The temperature was recorded at 30.4 degrees on Saturday evening. The sky will be clear today. The temperature will be between 25 to 36 degrees.
Patiala- The maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 33.0 degrees. It will be cloudy today. The temperature will be recorded between 26 to 37 degrees.
Mohali- Yesterday the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.1 degrees. It will be cloudy. Today the temperature can remain between 29 to 38 degrees.
Ludhiana- Yesterday the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.8 degrees. The sky will clear. Today the temperature can remain between 25 to 35 degrees.
