Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding rapidly rising temperatures in 12 states of the country. According to IMD, heatweb is most visible in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha and West Bengal.

The temperature in these states has crossed 40 degrees. Amidst the rapidly increasing heat, the Meteorological Department has said in its report that last week the temperature in 17 areas of 7 states crossed 42 degrees. Highest heat record broken in Rayalaseema. The maximum temperature recorded here was 44.5 degrees.

According to Skymet report, an area of ​​cyclonic winds is visible over Madhya Pradesh. With this, the trough line will extend from Karnataka to East Madhya Pradesh. Also, an anti-cyclonic system is forming over west central Bay of Bengal which will add moisture to the weather system. In such a situation, people can get relief from the heat till 17th or 18th April.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, lightning, strong winds and hailstorm at isolated places in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and adjoining south-east Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, lightning, strong winds and hailstorm in Bhopal, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram.

According to IMD, light to moderate rain with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds is likely at isolated places over South Kerala, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and adjoining Tamil Nadu, West Odisha, Jharkhand, Telangana, East Manipur. .

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds at isolated places in North Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, South Kerala adjoining Manipur. There is a possibility of hailstorm in Raisen, Narmadapuram, Sagar, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla and Narsinghpur of Madhya Pradesh. IMD has also expressed the possibility of hailstorm in Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh.
